To see which Ivy League schools produce the worst spellings, Transcription Outsourcing, LLC combed through the subreddits of each of the eight Ivy League colleges and universities in the United States to determine which forums had the most misspellings per 100 words. If the college Redditors are an accurate representation, Columbia in New York is home to the worst spellers of all the Ivies. Forty-one percent of all comments posted on the forum had at least one misspelling, and the average comment had 0.77 misspelled words.
Behind is Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It may have a reputation as the best college in the world, but people who post on the institution’s subreddit have let misspellings creep into two out of five comments.
