San Sebastian Film Festival unveils new directors lineup – Deadline
The 2021 San Sebastian Film Festival (September 17-25) has unveiled the 13 feature films that will compete in its New Directors showcase.
Among the images selected, nine are debuts while the others are second films. Among the directors are Canadian Philippe Grégoire, who has participated in more than 100 festivals with his short films, Fran Kranz from the United States and Turkish filmmaker Selman Nacar, whose project Between two dawn won two industry awards in San Seb last year.
The filmmakers will compete for the Kutxabank-New Directors Award, which includes a prize of $ 60,000 (⬠50,000) shared between the director and the Spanish distributor of the film.
