Polkadot Decoded 2022 adds Buenos Aires as a fifth location

Polkadot Decoded, the network’s annual conference, is back for 2022 and growing even bigger with the addition of Buenos Aires to the four previously announced locations.

Citing unprecedented interest from the South American community, event organizer Web3 Foundation has added the Argentine capital to Berlin, Mexico City, New York and Shanghai as the fifth city to host live events. The news comes on the heels of efforts by Argentine authorities to include cryptocurrency businesses in its comprehensive anti-money laundering (AML) regulatory scheme.

The annual conference for all things Polkadot is scheduled for June 29-30, with events at five international locations across four continents.

Polkadot Decoded 2022’s schedule will feature an early experience of in-person events, but content is also accessible online via an interactive live stream to accommodate a global ecosystem and people who can’t make it to the venue. one of five locations.

The network’s flagship summit was previously held as an online-only event due to the Covid-19 lockdown. However, the community has grown tremendously and the first wave of parachains have been released since then. These parachains will support these new fully integrated blockchain applications.

Similar to last year’s event, a community vote will come up with the best ideas for workshops or in-person presentations they want to see featured. An Open Call for Proposals (CFP) is being used to help organize the final program for Polkadot Decoded 2022 to showcase community initiatives and educate a global audience about all things Polkadot.

As an inclusive event for all members of the community, Polkadot Decoded received over 80,000 votes and the shortlist announcing the most popular submissions has been released.

This year’s program will include keynote speeches from those involved with Polkadot’s parachains, as well as Parity and Web3 Foundation. It also offers an unprecedented networking opportunity for members of the Polkadot community through interactive and collaborative workshops across all five locations.

“To celebrate the progress made so far, Polkadot is hosting something unique in the blockchain world: five simultaneous gatherings around the world on four continents. In the meantime, the community has grown significantly and Polkadot has launched the first wave of active parachains, supporting a range of new, fully integrated Web3 projects,” the organizers said.

Polkadot has become a strong contender to solve this problem and one of the ways they are looking to do this is through parachains. It is a product that contains several blockchains that can communicate with each other, and all of these chains are contained within the Polkadot ecosystem.
